The theatre has been my life since I was 14, when I began volunteering around Seattle at various local theatres--working back stage, building props and costume pieces; playing small roles.  Got my formal training at the most excellent Boston University School for the Arts, where I received a BFA, cum laude. After a few years working in New England, I decided to return to Seattle, in the late 80's, where I soon found a home at Annex Theatre. I also appeared in the first two shows at Theater Schmeater (Three Sisters, and the one-woman show, Man to Man, for which someone at the Stranger recognized me as the best actress of the year). Since then I've worked all over the city at all kinds of theatres, from Theatre Babylon, to On the Boards, to Seattle Children's Theatre and the Empty Space (r.i.p.).  I have performed in NYC, Los Angeles, Minneapolis, and Edinburgh, as well as many towns and cities across the country. I also have an extensive background in voice over work, and have recorded numerous audiobooks (favorites include: Abundance, by Sena Jeter Naslund, Horses Never Lie About Love, by Jana Harris, and The Receptionist, by Janet Groth). I ran my own theatre company, Our American Theater, dedicated to great American plays, for five years. One of my very favorite things to do as a theatre artist these days is perform for and work with chlldren. In the fall of 2012, I toured extensively through the region for Book-It's Arts and Education program, performing an adaptation of Thank You, Mr. Falker, by Patricia Polacco.  You can see me in the movies, too! Most recently, as the evil Nurse Lundt (or is she?), in "John Carpenter's The Ward".
