Ana Maria moved to Seattle in fall 2010 to participate in Seattle Repertory Theatre's Professional Arts Training Program as the Education Intern. At SRT she particpated in all their various education programs: TeenSpeak, Playwrighting Project, I-Speak (with interntional students), and the inaugural year of SRT's particpation with the National August Wilson Monologue Competition. As an actor, some of her favorite roles include Georgia in First Born in Seattle’s 2012 Fringe Festival, Abbey in Duane Kelly’s Rousseau and Hobbes at ACT’s Central Heating Lab, Sophie in Pork Filled Production’s The Clockwork Professor, and Nemesis in Gifts of War, directed by Gin Hammond and choreographed by Rochelle Rapaszky as part of The Gifts of War Project.
As a Teaching Artist, continues her work as a freelance teaching artist with Seattle Repertory Theatre’s Education Department. She has been fortunate to work on various bilingual productions and teaching artist residencies, allowing her to perform and teach in her first language, Spanish. She has worked a variety of public schools and organizations like rehab centers, children of migrant workers, and YouthCare. She currently works at the Pacific Northwest Ballet as the Community Education Programs Assistant where she assists in bringing dance education to over 20,000 students of all ages each year.
