Jay O’Leary: Jay is an Afro-Latina director, actor, teaching artist, choreographer and winner of Best Actress in the Rochester Fringe Fest 2014 for her portrayal of Monica in W.A.C. Iraq. Jay is a recent Seattle transplant from New York. In addition to starring in a one woman show, Women on Fire, other notable roles include, Talisha in Milk Like Sugar, the Devil in …Wonderland, Carly in Reasons to be Pretty, and Zlata in Necessary Targets. Directing credits include, REPARATIONS, Heathers the Musical…, An Unorthodox Rhapsody, Girl Ganng, California Suite, Pink Ribbons, Songs for a New World, and The Zoo Story. Jay was part of the 2016 Emerging Artists Program with Intiman Theatre as the producer and acting coach. She is honored to be an August Wilson Teaching Artist for Seattle Repertory Theatre and an acting teacher for Seattle Public Theatre.
