Sydney is a writer and actor with roots in northeastern Ohio. As a woman with a disability, she is an advocate for the representation of people of all abilities and backgrounds onstage. Most recent credits include Ariel in Seattle Shakespeare Company's The Tempest, Beatty in Sound Theatre Company's Peeling, and Toby Belch in Off Road Shakespeare's Twelft Night. Previous credits include eSe Teatro's translation of the Peruvian play The Journey of the Saint with ACT Lab and Sound Theatre Company's ILLUMINATE reading series of works by deaf and disabled artists. Sydney is an associate artist with Parley Productions, and in this capacity has appeared in staged readings of new work by Seattle playwrights, including Iguazú and About Marilyn by Julieta Vitullo, Little Brother's Body by drew david combs, This Pleasant Prison by Katherine Jett, and Anton by Brian Dang. Ohio credits include Star in John Lennon and Me and Grumio in The Taming of the Shrew (North Canton Playhouse), Peter Quince in A Midsummer Night's Dream (Ohio Youth Shakespeare Festival/Kent State University Theater), and various characters in A Christmas Carol (Canton Players Guild). She is a former touring company member of Page to Stage, which brought live theater to elementary schools in northeastern Ohio.  Sydney has also toured the midwest and the south with the Marietta College Concert Choir, in which she served as soprano section leader. She has worked for four years in Seattle as an immigrant rights and education policy advocate.
