Sydney is a writer and actor originally from Canton, Ohio, where she first fostered a love for community arts. As a woman with a disability, she is particularly passionate about the representation of people of all abilities and backgrounds onstage. She has worked for four years in Seattle as an immigrant rights and education policy advocate. Most recently, she appeared in Parley's productions of Julieta Vitullo's Iguazú as Nora/Naipí, and last year in Vitullo's About Marilyn as Marilyn. Ohio credits include Star in John Lennon and Me and Grumio in The Taming of the Shrew (North Canton Playhouse), Peter Quince in A Midsummer Night's Dream (Kent State University Theater), Alice in Alice in Wonderland (Page to Stage), and a myriad of comedic cameos in original works by her good friends. She is a former touring company member of Page to Stage, a production company which brought live theater to elementary schools in northeastern Ohio.  Sydney has also toured the midwest and the south with the Marietta College Concert Choir, in which she served as soprano section leader.
