Julia is a Costume Designer and Cutter/Draper hailing from Albany, New York. She designs costumes locally for Jet City Improv (The New Improvised Musical, Nancy You, Tall Tales, Clues, Wise Guys, It’s Your Wonderful Life, and The Adventures of Gilbert and Sullivan). Other Seattle design credits include Two Gentlemen of Verona & The Winter's Tale (Greenstage Backyard Bard), A Christmas Carol Radio Play (Eastside Musical Theatre), Lend Me a Tenor and Kicking the Hat (ArtsWest), Greater Tuna (Renton Civic Theatre), and Even Steven Goes to War (Seattle Public Theater). As a member of IATSE Theatrical Wardrobe Union Local 887, Julia has worked with costume crews at Seattle Repertory Theatre, Seattle Opera, Seattle Children’s Theatre, Pacific Northwest Ballet, ACT, the 5th Ave, and the Paramount. She has also collaborated with Seattle Choruses, Taproot Theatre, Washington Ensemble Theatre, Bridges Stage Company, the Seagull Project, Cornish, the U.W., and the Early Music Guild. Julia has costumed in 8 states including New York, where in 2001 she earned an Off-Off Broadway Review Award for Moonchildren at the Producer's Club II. Other design credits include A Christmas Carol (The Artist's Trust, NJ), The Three Sisters, Landscape of the Body, and The Madwoman of Chaillot (at SUNY Purchase where she earned her MFA) and Sweeney Todd and Assassins (Geneseo, NY). She has lived in Seattle since 2002.
