Russell has performed in regional theatres across the country for over 30 years. He was honored with a Seattle Critic's 'Footlight Award' in 2009 for his portrayal of Ivan in 'The Seafarer' at Seattle Repertory Theatre and returned to play George in 'Glengarry Glen Ross'. He most recently played Mr. Peachum in 'The Three Penny Opera' with the Seattle Shakespeare Company and can be seen this Spring in 'The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn' at Book-It Repertory Theatre. Current film work includes; 'A Bit of Bad Luck' starring Cary Elwes and 'You Can't Win' starring Michael Pitt, in addition to 2012 SIFF entries; 'Fat Kid Rules the World' dir. Matthew Lillard; 'Eden' dir. Megan Griffiths; and 'Grassroots' dir. Stephen Gyllenhaal. He also made guest appearances on the TNT series 'Leverage' and NBC's 'Grimm'.
