“A natural-born storyteller with with the polish of an accomplished actress and the authentic edge of a seasoned musician.” – Seattle Weekly.
As a recording artist, Tae Phoenix has garnered international attention with her “tremendous” (Blues Magazine), “phenomenal” (Marty Riemer), supple and achingly passionate voice, and her “elaborate and educated songwriting” (Woodbangers).
Phoenix has performed everywhere from Seattle’s legendary Paramount Theater to the streets of Montmartre. Her theatrical credits include Mae in “Reefer Madness: The Musical,” The Baker’s Wife in Stephen Sondheim’s iconic “Into the Woods,” Cosette in the epic “Les Misérables,” and a small but vital role as a priest in Billie Wildrick’s critically acclaimed “Jesus Christ Superstar.” Her love of musical theatre tinges her soulful blues rock with just a hint of Broadway.
