Production Management
Steeplechase Productions (March 2002 to date) - Producer, managing director. Responsible for budget and board development, fund-raising, grant-writing, payroll, taxes and reports, publishing season schedule, administering Equity and non-equity contracts, press releases, mailing lists, advertising, special event booking.
Playing French Seattle (July 2005 – date) – Festival coordinator, fund-raiser, director. For the past five years I have organized and produced a festival of plays in French language, co-sponsored by the University of Washington. I created and now maintain the festival website (steeplechaseproductions.com) and e-newsletter and update member/donor/sponsor contact information.
Northwest Actors Studio (August 2006 – Dec 2006) - Management contract (4 months) Responsible for budget and board development, space rentals, accounting, house and production management.
Magnusson Players (1989 school year) - Managing Director
Directed and managed teen theater for an alternative high school. Produced “On a Street Where I Live,” which toured in Washington State and British Columbia high schools.
Administration
Washington State Department of Health/Health Care Policy Board (1991-97). Lead Staff to a governor appointed commission to design a reformed health care system for Washington State (committee staffing, scheduling, travel, accommodations, public hearings.)
Kitsap County Personnel Department- Human Resources Coordinator. (1983-1991) Committee and board staffing, administration of public health and human services grants and contracts. Labor relations.
House Management/ Running Crew
Liberty Theatre (1997-2004) – House manager, box office, concessions, volunteer coordinator, publicity, fundraising, booking special events.
Theater Simple (2005) House Manager for theater simple’s production of “Camino Real” at the Freehold Theater.
Atlas Theatre Company (2006) – Sound board operator for Atlas’ production of “The Swan” at Northwest Actors Studio.
Akropolis Performance Lab (2006) – Box office, stage manager, lights, for “Oedipus” at Washington State Federation of Garden Clubs.
Food Service/Concessions
Concessions/FOH - (2004-2010) I have run concessions and assisted front of house staff (ticketing, ushering) at Empty Space Theatre, Open Circle Theatre and Seattle Public Theatre on a volunteer basis.
Liberty Deli (1995 to 2004) - Owner/proprietor
Purchasing, hiring and training staff, product management, licenses, taxes and reports, payroll, marketing, scheduling employees, negotiations with vendors, landlord and theater companies.
Cafe Solstice (2005 - date) - Lunch manager
I am currently working part-time at this cafe where I manage the lunch program, which includes menu development, product sourcing, training, ordering and working the line.
Apartment/Rehearsal Space Management; Alki Shores Apartments (1999-2004)
While leasing the ground floor restaurant I also managed 16 living units, including theatre rehearsal space and dressing rooms, and some temporary artist housing.
