Though a conservatory-trained actor, Adrian has spent the majority of his professional
career directing theatre in New York and Seattle. The rigor of his intense training coupled with the grit
and sweat of putting up plays (his own and others) have contributed to Adrian's foundational devotion to
performance. No longer satisfied with freelance work, Adrian resides in Seattle and is
engaged in developing alternative methods of performance production via his company Irrational Robot Bureau.

Critically valuable laboratory/workshop experiences with Lincoln Center Theater and La
MaMa E.T.C. gave Adrian the opportunity to work with pioneering international theatre
artists (including Anne Bogart, Joanne Akalaitis, Nicholas Hytner and others) and have
impressed on him the vistas achievable in 21st-century performance.

Adrian's work and specialized interests gravitate toward devised, developmental or
experimental pieces, classic/modern juxtaposition, theatre-as-event, intermedia design,
musical and physically-oriented processes, communally-based production and other
performance work not defined by the institutional parameters.

He is the Founder, Director and Bureau Chief of Irrational Robot Bureau.
