As part of Eclectic Theater's recent Fair Play Festival, Dan presented a solo piece titled Results, which he adapted from M. Barrett Miller's Ice: A Journey in Isolation. In May 2016, Dan appeared in the revival of Susan Olmos' dramatic rock opera In His Hands: A Fisherman's Journey as Cassius, the thief who shares a jail cell with the Apostle Peter. In March of this year, Dan portrayed Wayne, a logger searching for his missing son in Christopher Bailey’s Man Defeats Nature, part of Edmonds Driftwood Players’ “Spotlight on Local Playwrights” series. This past holiday season, Dan wheeled on stage as Mr. Potter in Red Curtain Productions' It’s a Wonderful Life. Last spring, Dan appeared in two new works at Eclectic Theater's 3rd Annual One-Act Play Fest: Len Goodisman's A Stone's Throw, directed by Jonathan Reis, and The Sound of her Wings, an original adaptation. Other recent theatre work includes playing the father in Len Goodisman's Deer in the Headlights at Seattle Center Armory's Theatre 4; Atreus in Jesuit Wingman, a solo piece Dan adapted from M. Barrett Miller's View from the Tent: Thoughts from a Homeless Man; the narrator in He Would Not come Down and Joseph/Son-in-Law in O Holy Night: A Gospel Christmas, both with the Total Experience Gospel Choir; and Prof. Marcus Cadman in Seattle Immersive Theatre's paranormal thriller Supraliminal. An avid singer, Dan is in his eighth year with the Total Experience Gospel Choir, traveling this past August to Louisiana to sing concerts in Lake Charles and New Orleans, and perform a week of service projects at St. Jude Community Center. The TEGC makes over one hundred choral appearances annually, and last spring sang back-up for Barry Manilow at the Key Arena, as well as with Heart's Ann Wilson and Pearl Jam's Mike McCready at Club Ludo, a Seattle Symphony Fundraiser. Dan occasionally lends his voice to studio recording projects, and is a cantor and choral singer at Saint Mark's Episcopal Cathedral. On the instrumental side, Dan is a member of the Husky Marching Band Alumni Association, playing trombone at concerts and UW games, marching Varsity-Alumni Band field shows and in the Seafair Torchlight Parade.
