                                                                                                      RESUME: Nickolas Vassili

Born in NYC in 1936 during the height of the depression, I became accostomed to lifes dramas without ever thinking of becoming an actor, watching preople struggle to survive in the midst ofr famine and insufferable hopelessness.

From 1941 to the end of WW II, living a block from Lewisohn Stadium and the famous Pops concerts, and also watching  the best  vaudeville at the Palace and Loew's State theatres, I systematically became  involved in music and theatre, slowly emerging as an actor/singer.

In High school I performed in and produced plays and  musicals, and became hooked on performing in front of audiences.

I graduated high school and enlisted in the Air Force, where,  I was assigned to special services, managing Bob Hope's USO tours. When it comes to on-the-job theatrical training, I could ask for nothing more.

During my overseas stay, I also became a member of an English rep company in newfoundland.  Handed many juicy roles, I was required to work on four stage productions simultaneously.

Discharged in 1958, I embarked on a singing career in the Borsch Belt, singing, MCing, and learning my trade as a club performer.

In 1960 I became a stage director, casting and producing off Broadway revivals. In the process I cast a young uknown actress, and 8 months later we were married.

In 1963 my wife and I formed Aardvark Abbey, creating America's first repetory traing center, and the most prominent acting school in America. One of our first students won an Oscar as best actor.

In the following years/decades my life took many turns, including six years in Hollywood, becoming a member of SAG  and  appearing in over 250 movies.

I also maintained my presence as a stage actor and writer/ director/producer, acting in and producing my own plays in Seattle, as well as managing the foremost World Music group in the country  - "Children Of The Revolution". We produced 6 CD's, all of which are now collector's items.

Over my lifetime, I  took on a second career as a therapist, which served me until the age of 82, at which time I decided to return to my first love, the theatre/movies/performing.

I am a member of SAG . AFTRA.
