The Clown Prince of Darkness has arrived in Seattle! After successfully writing, directing, and producing the dark comedies Abby & Ethan and These Things Happen... in Minneapolis, MN, Murray, KY native L. Alan Mason has come to the shores of the Puget Sound to take his first stab at a musical... a darkly comedic musical, of course, but a musical nonetheless. Formerly the only active openly gay Latter Day Saint amateur stormchaser playwright in the Minnesota theater scene, he is now the only active openly gay Latter Day Saint amateur stormchaser playwright in the Washington state theater scene. Ghosts of Nashville, Mason's latest work, is scheduled to open at Shoreline Community College Theater on June 13th, 2019 at 7:39 p.m. Ghosts of Nashville is an epic length, David Lynch-esque, darkly comedic musical about suicide awareness and prevention and is recommended for mature audiences only. It will feature songs by The October, Via Dove, Tiffany Houghton, The Last Almanac, John McDowell, and 3 original songs by Shantell Ogden.
