Scott Stolnack grew up in the 1960s and 70s in a working-class neighborhood on Chicago’s Southwest Side. After a stint in the Marines, he published short stories in Isaac Asimov’s Science Fiction Magazine, Full Spectrum, and a few other venues, worked as a freelance writer, completed two novels, and graduated summa cum laude with an English degree from the University of Washington. For the past decade he has worked as a biologist coordinating efforts to recover endangered salmon in the Seattle area. He has recently returned to writing.
