Sarah Butts recently moved to Seattle from the LA area and is thrilled to call this beautiful city her new home! She holds an MFA Directing from University of California, Irvine. From 2004 - 2011 Sarah worked at Venture Theatre in Billings, Montana as Associate Artistic Director and Director of the Venture Conservatory. Sarah has been part of the creation of several ethnographic and interview based original works. I Hear That I Hear You (Writer) an interview based piece derived from interviews with over 70 people across the country of varied backgrounds, demographics and political persuasions within 10 days of the 2016 presidential election. Forever Changed (Writer, Director) about child loss from the perspective of mothers, Piece of Mind (Co-Writer) addressing mental illness and stigma, Contra la Corriente/Against the Current (Collaborator) telling the stories of Latino Service Workers at UC Irvine, A Heart Without: Real Stories of Homelessness (Director) which was recognized at the 2012 Institute for Children, Poverty, and Homelessness Conference in New York.
