A graduate of Brown University and the Dell’Arte International School of Physical Theatre, Sarah Liane Foster is a performer, creator, and teacher of physical theatre. She has a passion for theatre that engages audiences and is funny and/or moving because it touches on essential human truth. Sarah has been creating, teaching, and performing theatre and clown since 2002, and has performed in thirty states and nine countries. After studying Lecoq-based movement theatre pedagogy with Giovanni Fusetti, she spent several years on the faculty of his movement theatre school, the Helikos International School of Theatre Creation, in Florence, Italy. Sarah has been honored with a grant from the Seattle Office of Arts and Culture, a Portland Civic Theatre Guild’s Leslie O. Fulton Fellowship, several grants from Portland’s Regional Arts and Culture Council, and the Portland Jugglers’ Ben Linder Award for Most Inspirational Juggler. Recently relocated to Seattle from Portland, Oregon, Sarah performs at Seattle Children’s Hospital with Room Circus Medical Clowning, and is excited to become more involved in the Seattle theatre scene.
