Chris Mayse has worked as a professional theatre artist for the past twenty-five years; as an actor, director, designer, technician, administrator, and educator. He has worked with such regional theatres as the Milwaukee Rep, Montana Rep, Wisconsin Shakespeare Festival, Utah Shakespeare Festival, Monomoy Theatre, and the Nevada Repertory Theatre.

Locally, Chris has worked with Wooden O, Tacoma Actors Guild, Theatre Schmeater, Taproot Theatre, Book-It Rep and a variety of other venues. He has also produced theatre in both Seattle and Las Vegas, under the banner of his production company- Atlas Theatre. Atlas has received critical-acclaim for its work; a Footlight Award from the Seattle Times, a Best of Fringe nod from the Las Vegas Fringe Festival, and was named Best Theatre Company by the Las Vegas Weekly.

Along with his creative work, Chris is also an accomplished educator. He has taught at and/or been a guest artist with the University of Nevada-Las Vegas, the College of Southern Nevada, Clark County School District, Issaquah School District, Studio East, International School (Bellevue), International Community School (Kirkland), as well as a variety of other educational organizations. 

Most recently, Chris has appeared in productions with Taproot Theatre, the Rainier Valley Cultural Center, and played the title character in WOYZECK, with Seattle Theatreworks. He has also collaborated with the Murder Mystery Players, the Dinner Detective, as well as having done some industrial film work with LearnBig. Most recently, Chris also appeared  performed in the SAG-Ultra low budget film, "Heart of the Emerald City", written by Dan Howes. Check out Chris' fan page here:

Chris served as the Managing Artistic Director for Seattle Musical Theatre during the past 39th Season. He is now looking to join the full-time faculty of a post-secondary training program, more specifically on the university level. His home base is now Boise, Idaho and he is looking to freelance with theatre companies throughout the country; most specifically, the western United States.
