Eddie DeHais is a genderqueer director, writer, performer, and producer who uses action-based performance, generative collaboration, and an urgent curiosity of text and dramatic structure to create physical, playful, risk-taking theater. They are the Artistic Director of DangerSwitch! (dangerswitch.com). They most recently helmed Café Nordo’s inaugural new works program The Pressure Cooker with their original play Sundown at the Devil’s House. Eddie studied at the University of Chicago and Francine Côté's Clown and Comedy School in Montreal, as well as with 500 Clown, Philippe Gaulier, the Neo-Futurists, the SITI Company, Redmoon, and more. Seattle credits include Café Nordo, Book-it Rep, Seattle Immersive, Annex, Ghost Light, Live Girls, and the Pocket. Chicago credits include the Goodman, Court Theatre, the Neo-Futurists, Redmoon, and About Face. They won the Seattle Writer's 2014 Gypsy Rose Lee Award for Best Supporting Actress for the role of Bach in Chaos Theory at Annex Theatre.
