Chip moved from Dallas to Seattle in 2014, and his first local role was in The Nerd at CenterStage, followed by A Little Night Music at SecondStory Repertory. He's also worked at ACT, Balagan, Taproot, and Village theaters. In 2016 he appeared in Sound Theater Company's production of Parade, the controversial, Tony-award winning work by Jason Robert Brown, followed by Mamet's Glengarry Glen Ross on Bainbridge Island. He returned to the island in February 2018 for BPA's production of Building the Wall by Robert Schenkkan.
His ninth audiobook performance has been released on Amazon.com titled In the Company of Thieves, by Michael Berrier.
An excerpt from a review of A Bright New Boise: "Will is impressively inhabited by Chip Wood. He is in every scene, and his performance of the man deliberately taking in each moment as if it were under God's ever-watchful good grace makes A Bright New Boise a bonafide success. This is not to take away from the collaged ensemble of intensely observed performances from the rest of the cast, all under the tightly paced direction of Steven Pounders; however, the portrait of this man is so specific in its redemptive journey, that were not Mr. Wood's demeanor so wisely understated, the story might have risked running off the rails."
