Karen DeMasters travelled for 20 years as part of a repertory theater company, Covenant Players. She left their employ in 2005. She received a Masters in Theater from Portland State University in 2011. While at Portland State, she performed as part in the musical Working doing the character Rose, as well as performing in Women and Wallace. She directed Night Visits, as well. In addition, she wardrobed Maelstrom, The Zombie Opera. In addition, she taught children's theater at Sabin Elementary School, directing 2 - 5 minute plays. She was also the drama specialist at YMCA Camp Collins in Gresham, OR, helping several groups of campers improv performances. Her most recent work was directing the 8th Grade Spring Musical The Mad Adventures of Mr. Toad. at St. Matthews Catholic School.  In April 2014, Karen played the character Annas in Brownbox Theatre's The Negro Passion Play. She also wrote and performed with the Seattle Actor's Collective Sketch Comedy Team The Mighty, Mighty Mixed Nuts Dec.12 & 13, as well as directing The Second Chances of Macbeth at Eclectic Theater as part of their Festival of One Acts.
